TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

These Terms and Conditions, along with the Mechanics and Registration (“Agreement”), govern the participation by the individual (“Entrant”) joining the Digital Art Competition (“Competition”), organized by Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. ("Organizer"). It is recommended that the Entrant reads, with maximum care, each item of the Agreement.

 

Organizer may amend the Agreement at any time subject to giving notice of the amendment to the Entrant. Notice of the amendment may be written, verbal or constructive notice. The Entrant’s continued involvement in the Competition will be taken as their acceptance of any changes to the Agreement.

 

By virtue of registering, and submitting to the Competition, the Entrant hereby agrees to the Agreement of the Competition and warrants the Organizer that the submission and information are truthful and accurate. Organizer has absolute discretion in deciding whether or not an Entrant has satisfied the Agreement as stipulated for the Competition.

 

ELIGIBILITY

  1. The Entrant of the Competition must be a Filipino residing in the Philippines, aged 18 and above as of August 2017.
  2. The Entrant for Student Category should be currently enrolled in a duly recognized academic institution for SY 2017-2018. An official receipt of enrollment may be requested if Entrant is selected as a Shortlist winner to serve as proof.
  3. The Professional Category is open for design professionals in any industry.
  4. Entrant can only join one (1) category for the preliminaries.
  5. Directors/trustees, officers, and employees of the Organizer, and/or all authorized Hyundai dealerships in the Philippines, as well as those of the agencies and companies associated with the Competition, and their relatives up to second civil degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the Competition.

 

ENTRY CONDITIONS FOR PRELIMINARIES

  1. To enter the Competition, the Entrant must:
    1. Duly fill out the Registration
    2. Comply with the required entry format: digital art (print) form at 1080 x 1920 pixels, at least 300 DPI, and in .jpeg format
  2. Entries must be in digital art (print) format. Animation, motion graphics, and other sub-classification of digital art that cannot be rendered to print are exempted from the contest.
  3. Entries must be digitally manipulated, reworked, or are artworks that used digital technology, and/or software to create the entry.
  4. Only one entry per person is allowed. Entries must not have been used in a different competition, published, or distributed commercially.
  5. Entries should not contain inappropriate content such as but not limited to: promotion of other brands; malicious and/or explicit content; or offend race, religion, sex, sentiments or public taste.
  6. The domain where the entry will be uploaded must be publicly accessible and should not have expiration or date duration for downloading. It is the responsibility of the Entrant to ensure that the link to the entry is correct and accessible to the Organizer to download the artwork for the judging.
  7. Closing date for entry will be 11:59pm on 13 October 2017. After this date no further entries to the Competition will be permitted.
  8. Entries submitted are considered final. No Entrant is allowed to withdraw his/her entry once he/she submit it.
  9. The Organizer has no responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason.
  10. Entrant agrees that by joining the Competition, he/she is aware that should he/she qualify in the Preliminaries, he/she is required to attend the Workshop (“Workshop”), and submit an artwork for the Grand Finals (“Grand Finals”) in accordance to the theme that will be set by the Organizer.

 

JUDGING & ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OPEN CALL

  1. By joining the Open Call, the Entrant may be shortlisted after the Preliminaries: six (6) winners for Student category, and another six (6) for Professional category. A total of twelve (12) shortlist winners (“Shortlist Winners”) will be selected from the qualified entries
  2. A panel of six (6) judges shall judge all shortlisted entries for both Student and Professional categories based on the following set of criteria: relevance, creativity, originality and craftsmanship.
  3. Judging of winners will be held at the Organizer’s Headquarters in Bonifacio Corporate Center, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City on 17 October 2017
  4. The Organizer’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Each Shortlist Winner will be notified by personal call and/or email specified in the Registration within 24 hours, on 18 October 2017, after judging date. Entrants whose works have not qualified for the Shortlist will not be individually notified.
  6. If the Shortlist Winner cannot be contacted within the next 48 hours from notification, Organizer reserves the right to forfeit the slot and pick a replacement winner.
  7. Each Shortlist Winner will be receive a Certificate and Fifteen Thousand Pesos (Php15,000.00). Organizer shall shoulder the 20% tax imposed by law. Awarding is on 21 October 2017 during the Workshop
  8. Announcement of Shortlist Winners will be posted on social media accounts managed by Hyundai, as well as on its official website. Press release will also be seeded to publications. Entrant is advised to check digitalart.hyundai.ph
  9. The Shortlist Winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Philippine data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

 

WORKSHOP

  1. Shortlist Winner is required to attend the one-day Workshop hosted by the Organizer.
  2. It is the expense, resources, and risk of the Shortlist Winner to attend the Workshop. Organizer will only shoulder the expense for the Workshop venue, meals, and fees for the speakers of the Workshop. Other expenses shall be borne by the Shortlist Winner.
  3. The Organizer reserves the right to withdraw the Shortlist Winner from the Competition should he/she decline to attend. He/she will be asked to confirm his/her attendance to the Workshop upon notification of the Organizer that he/she has been selected as a Shortlist Winner on 18 October 2017. Failure to respond within the next 48 hours from notification will automatically withdraw him/her as a Shortlist Winner and will be replaced by another winner. His/her prize will also be withdrawn and transferred to the replacement winner.
  4. The Workshop is on 21 October 2017. The Organizer will notify the Shortlist Winners through digitalart.hyundai.ph and/or email should there be changes in the schedule, program line-up, and/or speakers.
  5. Awarding of the Php15,000.00 cash prize and certificate from the preliminaries will be during the Workshop. Shortlist Winner must personally claim his/her prize.
  6. The Grand Finals mechanics and theme will be discussed during the Workshop.
  7. All 12 Shortlist Winners are automatically eligible to compete for the Grand Finals.
  8. If the Workshop cannot be executed as planned due to technical problems or circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control, the Organizer shall not incur any liability to the Shortlist Winner.

 

GRAND FINALS

  1. The Grand Finals is exclusive for the 12 Shortlist Winners.
  2. The theme and mechanics for the Grand Finals will be discussed by the Organizer during the Workshop
  3. Entries must be in digital art (print) format. Animation, motion graphics, and other sub-classification of digital art that cannot be rendered to print are exempted from the contest.
  4. Entries must be digitally manipulated, reworked, or are artworks that used digital technology, and/or software to create the entry.
  5. Only one entry per person is allowed. Entries must not have been used in a different competition, published, or distributed commercially.
  6. Entries should not contain inappropriate content such as but not limited to: promotion of other brands; malicious and/or explicit content; or offend race, religion, sex, sentiments or public taste.
  7. Closing date for entry will be 11:59pm on 10 November 2017. After this date the no further entries to the Competition will be permitted.
  8. The Organizer has no responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason.

 

JUDGING & ANNOUNCEMENT FOR GRAND FINALS

  1. Six (6) judges shall judge all Grand Finals entries based on the same set of criteria: relevance, creativity, originality and craftsmanship.
  2. Three (3) overall winners will be selected. Each winner will also receive a trophy. The Bronze Award will receive Forty Thousand Pesos (Php40,000.00), Silver Award will receive Sixty Thousand Pesos (Php60,000.00), and Gold Award will receive Eighty Thousand Pesos (Php80,000.00). Organizer shall shoulder the 20% tax imposed by law. Awarding is on 05 December 2017 during the Hyundai Christmas Celebration.
  3. Judging of winners will be held at the Organizer’s Headquarters in Bonifacio Corporate Center, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City on 11 November 2017
  4. The Organizer’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Each Grand Finals winner will be notified by personal call and/or email specified in the Registration within 24 hours, on 13 November 2017.
  6. The Grand Finals winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Philippine data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  7. Announcement of Grand Finals winners will be posted on social media accounts managed by Hyundai, as well as on its official website. Press release will also be seeded to publications.

 

GENERAL LIABILITIES

  1. Organizer reserves the right to change Competition schedule, and mechanics due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
  2. Entrant warrants that his/her entry does not infringe the copyrights (and related rights), trademarks, design rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person's rights of privacy or breach the contract rights of any third party.
  3. The Entrant shall indemnify and hold the Organizer harmless against all and any claims, demands, loss, damages, liability and costs (including reasonable legal expenses) that the Organizer suffers or incurs as a result of, or in connection with, any breach by the entrant of the warranties
  4. Violation of any above-stated rules and/or non-compliance of the same shall be ground for automatic disqualification at the sole discretion of the Organizer
  5. Organizer reserves the right to use the photos/artworks submitted in their marketing and corporate materials, without any obligation on its part to pay any amount, whether by way of compensation, royalty, or reimbursement for expenses incurred, to the Entrants whose entries are used.  Organizer shall own any artwork produced for the Grand Finals round, and shall not be liable for any further compensation to the winners. Credits to the owner will be exercised for the use of artwork from the shortlist round.
  6. The Competition and this Agreement will be governed by Philippine law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Taguig.

 

Register
